Routine inspection
Inspection of rotating parts: Slowly rotate the coupling or pulley by hand, observe whether the slurry pump rotates flexibly and smoothly, whether there are any debris inside the pump, and whether there is any collision; At the same time, check for any noise or uneven tension in the bearings to ensure that the packing is properly tightened and the belt is moderately tightened.
Bolt tightening inspection: Check and tighten all bolts and screws to ensure a stable connection of the equipment.
Lubrication condition inspection: Check whether the lubricating oil and grease in the bearing are pure. If they are not pure, they should be replaced. The amount of lubricating grease added should be 2/3 of the volume of the bearing chamber, and the lubricating oil should be within the range specified by the oil gauge.
Motor direction inspection: Check the connection of the motor lead wire to ensure the normal rotation direction of the slurry pump. Before normal operation, the vehicle can be driven to check the direction of rotation. If the direction is reversed, the vehicle should be stopped in a timely manner and the position of the two motor lead wires should be changed arbitrarily.
Inspection of pipelines and related equipment
Pipeline connectivity check: Confirm that the slurry pump pipeline is connected, the concentration bin is selected, the inlet valve is open, the selected concentrator is running, the slag discharge valve and flushing valve of the concentrator are closed, and the slag discharge pump is interlocked.
Check the condition of the slag pool: Check that there are no debris in the slag pool and the water level is greater than 1.2m; at the same time, check that the corresponding disruptor of the slurry pump has been started and is normal.
Frequency converter and sealing inspection
Frequency converter adjustment: Adjust the frequency converter of the slurry pump to less than 10%.
Sealing inspection and adjustment
Packing and impeller combination seal or packing sealed slurry pump: Rotate the shaft in the direction of pump rotation by hand, and the shaft should be able to drive the impeller to rotate without friction. Otherwise, adjust the impeller clearance; Check the leakage at the packing point. Before starting, open the shaft seal water. If the leakage is too large, tighten the packing gland nut until the leakage is in the form of droplets.
Mechanical seal slurry pump: The impeller clearance should be adjusted first, and then the mechanical seal should be adjusted. Connect the interface of the mechanical seal to the shaft seal water pipeline (newly installed shaft seal water pipelines should be cleaned of welding slag, mud, and other debris remaining in the pipeline in advance), start the shaft seal pump, open the valve of the shaft seal water pipeline, manually rotate the pump shaft, and if there is dripping, it indicates that there is dirt on the shaft seal end face. The cover bolt should be loosened and the mechanical seal should be rinsed with clean water before tightening the cover. Check for no leaks, indicating correct installation. Start the shaft seal pump, and the pressure of the shaft seal water should be at least 0.1MPa higher than the working pressure of the slurry pump. Wait for the shaft seal water to enter the sealed box cavity for five minutes before restarting the slurry pump.
Other key points
Pump body installation inspection: The pump needs to be installed on a solid foundation to bear the full weight of the pump, and all anchor bolts should be tightened to prevent vibration. When using direct drive, the pump shaft and motor shaft should be precisely aligned to avoid vibration and wear.
Installation of short pipe or expansion joint: Install a detachable short pipe or expansion joint at the suction pipe of the pump, with a length sufficient to remove the pump cover and replace vulnerable parts for pump maintenance.
Preparation for starting with clean water: Before pumping the slurry, start the pump with clean water if possible.
