Material transportation throughout the entire beneficiation process
The slurry pump mainly undertakes the task of material transportation in the beneficiation process, almost running through the entire production chain from ore crushing to concentrate dewatering.
Ore slurry transportation after grinding: After the ore is processed by a crusher to form coarse particles, the slurry pump sends the material into the ball mill. The slurry after grinding has high concentration and strong wear resistance. Ordinary water pumps will quickly wear out when encountering slurry with a sand content exceeding 30%. However, slurry pumps use wear-resistant alloy lining and wide flow channel design to stably transport this high concentration and high wear medium.
The slurry circulation in the flotation process: When the slurry circulates in the flotation tank, it needs to complete 3-5 cycles per minute, and the high flow slurry pump provides power support to ensure the efficient operation of the flotation process.
Dehydration and transportation of concentrate slurry: After flotation, the concentrate slurry needs to be transported to the dewatering equipment, which requires an increase in pump head. Mineral processing plants usually configure multi-stage series connected slurry pump sets to ensure that the viscous slurry can be sent to a 30 meter high thickener.
Tailings treatment and transportation: Tailings treatment is the final and important environmental protection link in mineral processing, and the slurry pump needs to continuously send wastewater containing chemical agents to the tailings pond. Modern slurry pumps adopt dual mechanical seals and pressure balancing systems, which can maintain water leakage even after continuous operation for 2000 hours, preventing leakage accidents from occurring.
The improvement effect on mineral processing efficiency
Improving conveying efficiency: The design of the slurry pump enables it to process a large amount of slurry in a short period of time, quickly transporting the slurry from one place to another during the beneficiation process. It can also perform preliminary concentration treatment on the slurry to a certain extent, thereby improving the overall efficiency of the beneficiation process.
Flexible production adjustment: When encountering changes in ore properties, operators only need to adjust the speed of the pump to control the slurry flow rate. This flexibility makes production adjustment simple and efficient, helping the beneficiation plant adjust production parameters in a timely manner according to the actual situation, ensuring production stability and efficiency.

Equipment durability: The fluid part of the slurry pump is usually made of wear-resistant materials, which can effectively resist abrasion in the slurry, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce the frequency and cost of equipment replacement and maintenance.
Easy operation and maintenance: The operation of the slurry pump is simple, and the slurry can be transported by simply controlling the switch, greatly reducing the difficulty of operation. At the same time, its structure is simple and easy to maintain, further reducing the operating costs of mineral processing technology.
