Working power principle

A slurry pump is essentially a centrifugal pump that utilizes centrifugal force (the rotation of the pump impeller) to increase the energy of the solid liquid mixture medium, converting electrical energy into kinetic and potential energy of the medium. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge and gains energy, leaving the outer edge of the impeller at high speed and entering the volute pump casing. In the snail shaped pump casing, the liquid slows down due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel, and converts some of its kinetic energy into static pressure energy. Finally, it flows into the discharge pipeline at a higher pressure and is sent to the required location. When the liquid flows from the center of the impeller to the outer edge, a certain vacuum is formed at the center of the impeller. Due to the pressure above the liquid level in the storage tank being greater than the pressure at the pump inlet, the liquid is continuously pressed into the impeller.

Principle of Double Pump Shell Coordination

The dual pump casing of the slurry pump adopts an inner and outer double-layer metal structure, and the outer shell structure is a vertical open type. This design allows the water outlet position to be installed and used at intervals of 45 degrees, rotating 8 different positions to adapt to different working conditions and installation requirements. The inner wear-resistant metal lining (such as impeller, sheath, protective plate, etc.) directly contacts the slurry containing solid particles, bearing the main wear, while the outer pump casing plays a protective and supporting role, ensuring the overall structural strength of the pump body.

Improve wear resistance

The inner wear-resistant metal lining in the dual pump casing structure can be made of materials such as high chromium wear-resistant alloys, which have good wear resistance and can effectively resist the erosion and wear of solid particles in the slurry, extending the service life of the pump. When the inner lining is worn to a certain extent, it can be replaced without replacing the entire pump body, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

Enhance structural strength

The outer pump casing provides additional structural support for the pump body, making the pump more stable when subjected to high pressure and severe vibrations. Especially when transporting high concentration and large particle slurry, the dual pump casing structure can better ensure the normal operation of the pump and reduce pump body damage caused by pressure and vibration.

Easy to install and maintain

The vertically split double pump casing structure makes the installation and disassembly of the pump more convenient. At the same time, the rotatable design of the outlet increases the flexibility of the pump, which can better adapt to different pipeline layouts and installation spaces. In addition, the double-layer structure also facilitates inspection and maintenance of the pump's interior, improving maintenance efficiency.

Optimize hydraulic performance

The dual pump casing structure can better optimize hydraulic performance in design. By designing the shape and flow channels of the inner and outer pump shells reasonably, the resistance to liquid flow can be reduced, the efficiency of the pump can be improved, and energy consumption can be reduced. At the same time, it also helps to reduce liquid reflux and erosion, further improving the performance and service life of the pump.
