1. The slurry pump needs to be kept clean, dry, free of oil stains, and leak free at all times.
2. Users need to regularly check whether the oil level in the bearing box of the slurry pump meets the requirements. Generally speaking, the correct oil level is near the middle scale line of the oil dipstick.
3. Users need to regularly check whether there are any abnormal sounds, vibrations, or leaks in the slurry pump during operation. If such problems are found, they need to be dealt with in a timely manner.
4. It is strictly prohibited for the slurry pump to continue working in an evacuated state, as the operation of the slurry pump in an evacuated state can cause severe vibrations, which can affect the service life of the slurry pump. This requires special attention from users.
5. Metal objects and large solid particles exceeding the maximum allowable diameter of the pump must not enter the slurry pump. At the same time, attention should be paid to flexible substances such as rubber, cotton, and plastic cloth entering, which can avoid damage to the flow components of the slurry pump and blockage of the impeller flow channel.
6. Users need to regularly check whether the pressure and flow rate of the shaft seal water meet the requirements. They can use methods such as checking the opening degree of the shaft seal water pipe valve or detecting the temperature of the packing box to check. If the temperature is high, it indicates that the water supply is insufficient and water needs to be added. For some slurry pumps that use lubricating grease to lubricate the packing dynamic and static rings, they should also check and add oil regularly every day to ensure that the packing and dynamic and static rings are in good lubrication condition.
7.If the working pressure of the slurry pump is above 0.5MPa, then PTFE or carbon fiber soaked PTFE packing should be used. After the packing is filled and compressed, the user must conduct a water test operation. During operation, the cover bolts should be adjusted in detail to achieve the best state of penetration into droplets without forming lines.
8.In order to ensure the efficient operation of the slurry pump, users must regularly adjust the gap between the impeller and the front wall of the vortex shell to maintain it between 0.75-1.50mm.
9.After 600 to 800 hours of continuous operation, the slurry pump needs to completely replace the lubricating oil to ensure the lubrication of the pump.
10. The spare slurry pump should rotate 1/4 turn per week to evenly withstand static loads and external vibrations on the bearings.
11.If the slurry pump has not been used for a long time, the sediment inside the pump needs to be washed clean before starting.
