Troubleshooting steps
1. Check the suction pipe and bottom valve
Firstly, it is necessary to check whether there is any air leakage in the suction pipe and bottom valve. If a gas leak is found, the source of the leak should be promptly blocked. In addition, it is necessary to clean the silt or blockages at the inlet to ensure smooth water flow.
2. Check the power supply voltage
Low voltage can cause a decrease in the speed of the slurry pump, thereby affecting the flow rate. Therefore, the power supply voltage should be checked to ensure it is stable within the normal range.
3. Check the pipeline and pump body
Leakage in the pipeline or air in the pump body can also cause insufficient flow. At this point, the source of the pipeline leakage should be checked and the air inside the pump body should be promptly expelled.
4. Check the sealing ring and impeller
Severe wear of the sealing ring or impeller can lead to unstable flow of the slurry pump. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of the sealing ring and impeller, and replace them if necessary.
5. Adjust the water inlet depth of the bottom valve
If the water inlet depth of the bottom valve is insufficient, it is easy to suck in air during pumping, resulting in insufficient flow. The depth of the bottom valve should be adjusted according to the suction of the slurry pump to ensure that it can effectively extract liquid.
6. Clean the forebay and suction pipe
If the slurry pump works normally after starting for a period of time, but the current gradually decreases and the flow rate is significantly insufficient, it may be due to the accumulation of slurry or other debris in the suction pipe, causing cavitation of the slurry pump. At this time, the forebay and suction pipe should be cleaned, the length below the elbow should be reduced, or a mixing device should be added to reduce slurry settling.
Repair measures
1. Replace worn parts
If severe wear is found on the sealing ring or impeller, new components should be replaced promptly. In addition, if the bearings are excessively worn, they also need to be replaced or maintained.
2. Maintenance and repair
For faults in the transmission device or issues such as looseness and excessive wear of the pump body, timely maintenance and repair should be carried out. This includes checking for wear on components such as impellers and bearings, and performing corresponding maintenance, repair, or replacement.
3. Clean up blockages
If the inlet pipeline of the pump is blocked, the blocked pipeline needs to be cleaned or replaced with a new pipeline. Meanwhile, cleaning the filter or replacing it with a new one is also an effective solution.
4. Check the hydraulic system
For the problem of insufficient flow in the hydraulic system of the slurry pump, it is necessary to check whether the oil pump is draining, whether the set pressure of the sequence valve is too low, whether the oil filter is clogged, whether the oil level in the tank is too low, and whether the viscosity of the hydraulic oil is appropriate. According to the specific situation, carry out corresponding repairs or replacements.
Through the above investigation and repair measures, the problem of insufficient flow of slurry pump can be effectively solved, ensuring the normal operation of the pump.
