Selection and application of corrosion-resistant materials

High chromium wear-resistant cast iron A05 (KmTTBCr27): This material has high hardness, with a heat treatment hardness of HRC58~62, and has good abrasion resistance, especially suitable for transporting alkaline mixed liquids, with good corrosion resistance.

A07(KmTBCr15Mo3): Developed based on KmTTBCr15Mo3, it is considered an excellent anti-wear material suitable for high concentration, high lift, and strong abrasion slurry transportation. However, due to its high price, its application is limited.

A49 and A33 (duplex stainless white cast iron): These two materials not only have the wear resistance of high chromium alloys, but also have good corrosion resistance, making them particularly suitable for flue gas desulfurization systems and pumps for phosphoric acid and nitric acid.

Rubber lining: including natural rubber and synthetic rubber, suitable for fine particles without sharp edges. Natural rubber has good elasticity, strong sealing performance, and excellent abrasion resistance, especially in power plant flue gas desulfurization conditions.

Application scenarios and advantages of slurry pumps

Slurry pumps are widely used in industries such as water conservancy and power, coal metallurgy, and transportation, especially in conveying corrosive media containing solid particles. Its overcurrent components such as impellers, volutes, and protective plates not only have to withstand material erosion and wear during operation, but also suffer from cavitation damage.

Basis for material selection

Choosing suitable corrosion-resistant materials requires consideration of the working conditions, failure mechanisms, hardness, impact toughness, and corrosion resistance of the slurry pump. For example, high chromium cast iron is widely used as an overcurrent component in slurry pumps due to its excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Practical application cases

Mining industry: In the application of beneficiation plants, the service life of slurry pumps is generally low, but through reasonable design and selection, their service life can be effectively extended.

Power industry: In thermal power plants, slurry pumps are used for ash removal, and their design and material selection need to consider the characteristics of the slag or ash after coal combustion.

Coal washing industry: Due to the complex working conditions, larger coal blocks and coal gangue are prone to block the flow channel, which puts higher requirements on the design of slurry pumps.
