A slurry pump is a mechanical device that utilizes centrifugal force (rotation of the pump impeller) to increase the energy of a solid liquid mixture medium, converting electrical energy into kinetic and potential energy of the medium. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge and gains energy, leaving the outer edge of the impeller at high speed and entering the volute pump casing.

The principle of energy conversion inside the snail shell

When the liquid leaves the outer edge of the impeller at high speed and enters the volute pump casing, the flow velocity of the liquid gradually slows down due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel in the volute pump casing. According to the law of conservation of energy, a liquid converts some of its kinetic energy into static pressure energy during this process, causing the pressure of the liquid to increase. Finally, it flows into the discharge pipeline at a higher pressure and is delivered to the desired location.

The double pump casing structure of the slurry pump is vertically split, and the outlet position can be installed and used at intervals of 45 degrees, rotating 8 different positions. This design allows the outlet of the snail shell to be flexibly adjusted according to actual installation requirements and pipeline layout, improving the versatility and applicability of the slurry pump.
