Material and Wear Resistance
The slurry pump transports a mixture of solid particles containing slag and water, so the sheath is usually made of wear-resistant materials such as high chromium cast iron to resist the abrasion of solid particles and extend the service life. In the mining industry, such as beneficiation plants, due to the harsh initial selection conditions of ores, the slurry pump sheath needs to have good wear resistance to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Structure Design
Double layer structure: Some slurry pump sheaths adopt a double-layer pump shell structure, such as an inner and outer double-layer metal structure or an outer layer of metal and an inner layer of rubber. This structure can better adapt to different working environments and pressure requirements, and improve the overall performance of the pump.
Adjustable: The double-layer pump housing structure starts from the vertical center, and the outlet position can be installed and used by rotating 8 different positions at 45 ° intervals, making it convenient for users to adjust according to their actual installation and usage needs.

From the perspective of structural characteristics and pump performance principles, the slurry pump sheath should be compatible with other components of the pump to ensure the stable operation of the entire slurry pump system. Different models and specifications of slurry pumps need to be equipped with corresponding sheaths, such as 4/3C-AH sheaths, 3/2C-AH sheaths, etc., to ensure good sealing and conveying effects.

Consider the working environment
Medium characteristics: Understand the properties of the conveying medium, such as the size, hardness, concentration of solid particles, and the corrosiveness of the medium. If the solid particles in the conveying medium have high hardness and concentration, a sheath with better wear resistance should be selected; If the medium is corrosive, the corrosion resistance of the sheath material needs to be considered. For example, when transporting corrosive slurries containing crystals in the chemical industry, it is necessary to choose sheath materials that can withstand corrosion.
Work pressure: Choose the appropriate sheath structure and material based on the actual work pressure. When working under high pressure, a double-layer protective sheath may be more suitable and provide better compressive performance.
Match the pump model
The protective sleeve should be selected according to the specific model of the slurry pump, ensuring that the specifications and dimensions of the protective sleeve match the other components of the pump, in order to ensure the normal operation and efficient performance of the pump. Different models of slurry pumps have different requirements for the sheath, such as 65ZGB, 80ZGB and other models of slurry pumps, which require corresponding suitable sheaths.
