Background
At present, China's power plants mainly rely on thermal and hydroelectric power generation. In thermal power plants, a large amount of coal-fired power generation produces slag or ash, which needs to be removed. The slurry pump plays an important role in this process.
Working principle
When the slurry pump is working, the slag is mixed with a certain amount of water, and under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge and gains energy, leaving the outer edge of the impeller at high speed and entering the volute pump casing. Then, the slurry pump transports the mixed slag water to the place where the slag is stacked. Sometimes in power plants, slurry pumps are also referred to as ash pumps.
Application advantages
Strong applicability
The slurry pump is suitable for transporting solid-liquid mixtures with strong abrasion and hard solid particles. The ash water mixture in the hydraulic ash removal system of thermal power plants usually has high concentration, high viscosity, and contains a large number of solid particles. The slurry pump can adapt well to this complex medium transportation demand.
Good performance
Taking AH slurry pump as an example, its overall performance range is wide and its cavitation performance is good. It can adopt multi-stage series technology to meet long-distance transportation. There are various metals available for the overcurrent components, and with increased depth, they can adapt to various harsh conveying conditions, ensuring efficient and stable operation in the hydraulic ash removal process.
Good lifespan and benefits
This type of pump has a long service life and high operational efficiency. In the long-term operation of thermal power plants, it can reduce the frequency of equipment replacement, lower operating costs, and improve power generation efficiency.
Specific applications
Transport medium
Mainly used for conveying the ash water mixture generated in the hydraulic ash removal system of thermal power plants, including the slurry formed by mixing fly ash, slag, etc. with water.
Transportation process
In the hydraulic ash removal system of thermal power plants, the slurry pump transports the mixture of ash and water from the production site to the designated ash storage yard or treatment facility, achieving effective removal and treatment of ash.
precautions
Equipment maintenance
To ensure the coaxiality of the motor and pump, and to ensure the integrity and correctness of the elastic pad in the coupling, it should be replaced promptly if damaged.
Some components are vulnerable parts, and in daily use, attention should be paid to the wear and tear of vulnerable parts, and they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. During the maintenance or replacement of vulnerable parts of the pump, it is necessary to ensure correct assembly, reasonable gap adjustment, and avoid the occurrence of tight friction.
The water pressure and volume of the bearing should meet the regulations, and the tightness of the packing should be adjusted (or replaced) at any time. Do not cause leakage of the shaft seal, and replace the shaft sleeve in a timely manner. When replacing bearings, it is important to ensure that the bearing components are dust-free and the lubricating oil is clean. When the pump is running, the bearing temperature should generally not exceed 60-65 ℃, with a maximum of 75 ℃.
Pipeline inspection
Ensure that the pump components and piping system are installed correctly, firmly, and reliably.
The suction pipeline system must be leak free, and attention should be paid to whether there is any blockage at the suction inlet during operation. The medium that the pump needs to handle often contains solid particles, so the partition placed in the pump pool should meet the requirements of the particles that the pump can pass through, reducing the possibility of blockage caused by oversized particles or long fiber materials entering the pump body.
